The Solidaridad Collector project is currently underway and the bidding is expected to be completed in 2028. This project aims to prevent flooding in Chalco through the implementation of 9 actions, including improvements to the sewage system and access to water for the region.

The municipalities that will benefit in the eastern area of the State of Mexico with the Solidaridad Collector include Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Nezahualcóyotl, Texcoco, Tlalnepantla, and Valle de Chalco.

In response to the tragic bus accident that resulted in the death of 18 people on Sunday, March 9, after a rally in Mexico City, President Claudia Sheinbaum assured that the families of the victims would receive support. During her 'morning' conference, a biweekly security report was presented, and it was announced that the bidding for the start of the Solidaridad Collector works will take place in September, with construction scheduled to begin in October, in order to prevent future flooding.

The Water Plan led by President Sheinbaum aims to benefit 6.4 million inhabitants of 10 municipalities in the eastern area of the State of Mexico. The president has highlighted decisions regarding tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump and the energy reform in Mexico.

President Sheinbaum also addressed the issue of security, mentioning a 15% reduction in intentional homicides during the first five months of her administration. Additionally, it was reported that more than 14,519 individuals have been detained for high-impact crimes and drug seizures.

Within the National Water Plan, 17 strategic projects will be developed to combat water scarcity and guarantee access for all inhabitants. These projects will benefit 21.6 million inhabitants in the Valley of Mexico, including Mexico City, the State of Mexico, and the eastern area.
